Irish Skaen, Skeen (Dirk)
Only 2 In Stock
Just as the Scot must have his Dirk, so too the Irish his Skeen. This type of side arm was carried at all times and was used for a staggering multitude of daily cores as well as war where it was typical for this and a spear or bow to be the only weapons of the common man. The blade varied from 6 inches all the way up to short sword length, but I have chosen to design this one of an average length for almost any type of use. The grip is a solid hardwood with a polished finish with grooves to improve one’s hold and the steel parts have a blued finish.
The simple leather scabbard is typical as well.
