A very heavy and durable sword. The blade doesn't dull very easily. A great no thrills, straight to the point, chopping and slashing beast of a sword. The scabbard fits very snug, it took some time to work the sword in. There is a bout 3 inches of blade still exposed and when I force the sword in good luck taking the sword out quickly.
Sorry about the scabbard. Sometimes the difference in humidity (ie. High humidity or little to know humidity) will make the wood in the scabbard swell or shrink.
Glad you made it work.
Great heft, great balance, only critique is the wrap is definitely brown, not oxblood or reddish as in the photo. Good sword great edge.
Glad you are enjoying the sword.
Thank you Sir.
I’ve had this sword for 2 years now and she can hold an edge like no other. And has been put to some great achievable test with no issues. She’s definitely had a taste of my blood a few time from the mean edge she still to this day holds, and she survived a house fire and 2in diameter branches and young trees. Has very well and strong flexible. Always stays true. By that I mean straight. I could keep going all that gave her character and btw you lol have to add your own comfort of grip if you so choose too. 🍻
OMG! House fire! We hope as is well now.
Thank you for your review.
Very nice sword for the price. I was impressed with the fit of the guard to the blade. The grip feels good in the hand although it may be a little long by historical standards. The blade seems very tough and came pretty sharp. The finish was a bit wavy and the angles were not as crisp as some but I believe it perfectly acceptable for this style. All in all I very much like it.
That is what we like about hand forged.
Thank you,
