The sgian dubh also Skean Duh (Pronounced Skeen Doo), or Scottish Black Knife is a small, single-edged knife (Scottish Gaelic: sgian) worn as part of traditional Scottish Highland dress along with the kilt. Also referred to as a Scottish Sock Knife.
The elite Kingdom of Arms Early Dress Sgian Dubh features a hand hammered 5160 carbon steel blade as the originals were made, full tang, heat treated and tempered as the originals, with a sharp edge. The handle is Kamagong Ironwood with checkered pattern as the originals. The end cap is real bone. The sheath is wood with brass accents. It is based off a 100 year old original which is in a personal collection. It is based on the 2nd one from the left of the 2nd picture., that has 5 Sgians.
