Outdoor / Knives Specs

• Scandi Grind vs Flat Grind: Roselli blades feature a full Scandi (zero) grind — a single bevel that runs from the spine to the edge with no secondary bevel. This geometry offers easy field sharpening, excellent bite in wood carving tasks, and predictable cutting behavior. Flat grinds (found on some models) taper evenly from spine to edge, offering a slightly thinner geometry for slicing tasks like food prep and skinning.
• UHC Steel Care: Ultra High Carbon steel will patina naturally with use — this is normal and protective. After use, wipe the blade dry, apply a light coat of food-safe oil (camellia or mineral oil), and store in a dry environment. Avoid prolonged moisture contact or acidic materials. Never dishwash. The patina that develops over time acts as a natural rust barrier.
• Sheath Materials: Roselli sheaths are constructed from vegetable-tanned leather, shaped and stitched by hand in Finland. Leather sheaths should be conditioned periodically with leather balm or beeswax to maintain pliability and water resistance. Store knives dry before sheathing to prevent moisture buildup inside the sheath.
