Troll's Bane Nordic Viking Sword – 9th Century Replica with Power Runes & Leather Scabbard
"Troll's Bane" Nordic Sword is a historically inspired Viking sword modeled after blades from the mid to late 9th century. Featuring a wide fuller and a more defined stabbing point, this sword represents the transition from early Viking blades to later, more functional combat weapons.
This Nordic-style sword features a well-defined pommel and an elegantly curved cross guard, differing from the straight lines of earlier designs. The carved wooden grip enhances your hold and adds a layer of traditional craftsmanship.
The blade is etched with ancient Norse Power Runes symbolizing legendary figures:
- Odin – Spear Shaker, the All Father
- Tyr – Lord of Battle and Justice
- Thor – God of Thunder, the Giant Slayer
- Balder – The Beautiful, Beloved of the Gods
Included is a high-quality wood-core leather scabbard with a long 1-inch strap, allowing you to wear it as a traditional baldric or belt-hung sword, depending on your preference.
Designed by Bruce Brookhart, a renowned creator of historically accurate and functional sword replicas.

Kingdom of Arms' Troll's Bane sword is a fascinating piece, as it sits perfectly at the intersection of historical accuracy and epic fantasy aesthetics. While its name evokes folklore (the troll scourge), its geometry is firmly rooted in the 10th century. I really like this sword, but I can't give it 5 stars because some aesthetic flaws bother me. However, this doesn't detract from what the sword is as a whole. I would certainly recommend it. It's a Viking sword that looks like it belonged to a legendary warlord!
Thank you Philippe!
Will get with you on the specifics and let the forge know.
